Van Ouwerkerk Architectural design is a design agency practicing architectural design, urbanism, research, interior and furniture design. The practice is lead by Arnold van Ouwerkerk and provides services for both public and private sectors. The design philosophy of Van Ouwerkerk Architectural design is not based on one specific fashionable house style. The designs are rather created as results which are closely related to their specific identity, function and context. Van Ouwerkerk Architectural design believes that high quality design results from an intensive dialogue between designer and client. Designer and client working closely together to achieve the best quality in architectural design with its specific identity. Van Ouwerkerk Architectural design believes that creative ideas, research and analyses will create a surplus value in design.

Arnold van Ouwerkerk (1979) NL studied Interior Architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Maastricht during the years 1999-2004. In this period he worked for Studio Job in Antwerpen and for Jeanne Dekkers Architectuur in Delft. Since 2008 Arnold is studying Architecture (MA) at the Rotterdam Academy of Architecture. Before he established his own office in Rotterdam, he worked at several architectural offices like Heyligers in Amsterdam, DKV Architecten in Rotterdam and Kraaijvanger Urbis in Rotterdam.
