Dance & Music Centre Spuiplein

The Hague

The Dance & Music Centre at the Spuiplein square in The Hague is a multifunctional building which households four different theaters, The Royal Conservatoire, five different schools of music, offices and rehearsal studios. This ‘Palazzo Publico’ will be the cultural generator in the city heart of The Hague. Different facilities will serve the different population groups of the city.

To create a more accessible building, the foyers of the main theatre halls are connected with each other and open for public during the day. This sequence of squares can be used by the schools in the neighbourhood, community centers, centers for old people, and so on. This allows the building to generate more activity during the day and bring the people of The Hague closer to the culture of their city.
